8 April 2014: Hampton Hill is one of the first locations in the UK to join a brand new nationwide recycling scheme set up by Kenco and TerraCycle called the Coffee Packaging Brigade, which aims to save coffee packaging waste from landfill.  A collection box for local people to drop off all brands of coffee refill bags, coffee bean bags, plastic coffee jar lids and single serve coffee sticks and sachet waste packaging is now situated at the  Sainsbury’s Local on 68-78 High Street in Hampton Hill.  Each unit of coffee packaging waste collected by the local community earns money for the Hampton Hill United Reformed Church which will be used to fundraise for Place To  Go, a project to remodel the front of the church and provide space better to serve the community (http://www.hamptonhillurc.org.uk/place-to-go/)<< New text box >>
